Durham Vision Care’s mission is to provide a professional and patient-centered approach to all individuals for their eye care needs. The clinic focuses on public awareness of early identification of vision issues with a strong emphasis on quality eye health care and exceptional customer service.
Dr. Abinaya Krishnamoorthy (Dr. Krishna or Dr. Abi) graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in Cell Biology. Currently, she is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.
When she’s not working, she enjoys painting, writing poetry and traveling.
She wears glasses, contacts, and sometimes glasses and contacts!
Dr. Geerdhana Arun completed her Bachelor of Science – Biology Major at the Toronto Metropolitan University. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.
In her spare time, she likes reading, hiking, exploring new cities, and enjoys attending festivals.
She wears glasses or contacts.
Rebecca is an optometric assistant (CCOA) and glasses advisor at Durham Vision Care. She has lived in Whitby most of her life. She is a great resource for those wanting to get some advice on frames, lens options, and sunglasses.
She enjoys spending time with her family and animals, reading, going to concerts, cross-stitching, and overall, enjoying life!
She has been wearing glasses for the past 10+ years and she really loves the style each pair can bring! She has recently started wearing contacts more regularly and enjoys the convenience.
Kefira Thompson is an office assistant and frame stylist at Durham Vision Care. She is always happy to help assist patients with anything they may need to enhance their experience during their visit.
